Memory foam mattresses

Just like the memory foam toppers the newest and most popular memory foam mattress is the Visco elastic mattress. And if you’ve decided that you want to change your entire mattress this is the one you would want to buy. And not only because the memory foam will most certainly improve your sleep, but for a dozen other reasons like: it is recommended by health professionals as it helps to relieve pain associated with many ailments; it is hypoallergenic which is great for people suffering from allergies; it is resistant to dust mites, contrary to the ordinary mattresses; it is suitable for all and no matter how you like to sleep - front, side, or back, memory foam moulds to the contours of your body enabling you to achieve your most comfortable position; it also follows the contours of you and your partner’s bodies separately, if either of you get up in the night the other will not be disturbed.

But why is an entire mattress better than just a topper? What we said about the memory foam toppers was that they are just one single layer of memory foam (usually the top layer of the mattress). There is a difference in the number of layers you can find in the mattresses. Less layers means cheaper mattress and vice versa. The cheapest memory foam mattresses are very similar to the memory foam toppers as they are usually formed by only one layer of memory foam with thickness greater than 6″ and thinner than 12″. And usually they have to be placed on top of regular solid mattress base or spring mattress, just like the toppers. The best type of memory foam bed is one that is made of a combination of different layers with different densities. Usually for the mattress to be good are required around 5 layers. Starting from the bottom the 5th layer is usually the hardest one and is made to support the base of the mattress. The fourth layer is usually regular density memory foam which is harder then the 1st layer but softer then the 2nd and 3rd layer. Moving up the 3rd and 2nd layers are made of thinner harder (denser) memory foam and what they do is to support your body weight when you lay down. The top or the first layer is always the softest one and is usually made of memory foam with thickness 2-3lb but sometimes 4-5lb which is better. When put together all the layers form the perfect mattress.

When speaking for the price of memory foam mattresses it’s not a secret that they don’t come cheap, especially if you want a good one. The prices can get up to $1500 depending on the quality you want. Of course you can find something cheaper as the single layer memory foam mattresses cost around $350-$400, but when it comes to the quality of sleep money is not something to be spared. This is proved by the statistics which show that 60% of Europe is now using memory foam mattresses and the percentage keeps rising. If you want to join that statistics, we hope this review helped you make the right choice.
